So this past weekend , , and Russia of Cuckoo got to go to Zenkaikon. It was a sudden trip so we didn't pre-register. We woke up early, put on our Hetalia cosplays and got to the con at about 9 o'clock am. It was chilly outside and windy so we were cold, even with our jackets and boots. Even so, we endured the cold to get into the con.

There were about 30 people ahead of us when they announced that they had reached their maximum capacity and couldn't take anyone else for the day. We were SO MAD, especially poor .

So, we stayed in line to get Sunday badges, met an awesome Belarus and Korea and then the most EPIC thing happened. First, got to meet her favorite cosplay group Afterlife. But one of the main things on our to do list was to meet Johnny Young Bosch, the voice actor/ power ranger. No one is really paying attention and a guy comes over and asks how we were feeling. Of course, we said we felt horrible because we couldn't get in for Saturday. His reply, "Yea, that sucks. Well, I'm Johnny Young Bosch and I have some paper and pens for anyone who wants autographs."

flipped out (well, we all did) and we got autographs. I called and had him say "This is Kiba and your mamma so wolf." (inside joke) and she died of happiness. It was so cool. He looped back through the line and he took a picture with then with everyone (except for me, I took the pictures). That made our day.

After we got our badges for the next day at 12:30 (yea, 3 and a half hours in line). We decided to visit the mall in casual cosplay and we saw some con-goers which was fun.

Sunday was basically spent buying things and taking pictures. We stayed for a few hours but with nothing to do really we left. Then we chilled out at 's before returning to college.

Overall it was a fun weekend. The only failed part was not getting in on Saturday and how unorganized the con was. Most of the staff were really mean which I've never encountered before.


We're definitely pumped for Setsucon!
